HandCUFFED in LOVE Contract

The love contract essentialy believes in guaranting a standard performance among the employees if the people working in the organization are entering into personal relationship. But is it effective in guaranting the same level of performance within the organization or a burden for the people working in the organization who have got into a relationship. Let us have a cursory glance as to what could be possible advantages & disadvantages of the love contract for the employers as well as the employees before looking at the other aspects and effects of the contract.

Advantages for the employers looks obvious like safeguarding the performance level within the organization, easy to measure the performance before and after entering the relationship as well as well as entering into the relationship. The disdvantages for the employees also looks obvious as this indirectly discourages them from getting into a personal relationship with their office colleagues as well having a satallelite like eye on every action of the employees. But analysing the disadvantages for the employers and advantages for the employees would be intresting. The major disadvantages that the employers would face include more discontent among the workers as they would feel that their personal life is being intruded by their professional commitment. The love contract would also somehow drive their relationship's future as they would have to look at their relationship with a professional touch rather than personal touch. What i mean to say with this is that if two collegues who have a private relationship within an organization sign the love contract they would always view the success or the longevity of their relationship on the work they do and if anything goes wrong they would always find their relationship as the scapegoat. Now this would dissuade people into relationship from remaining or joining companies which makes the love contract mandatory for its working employees thus depriving the companies of better or suitable candidates for the job. You would have many people who would keep their private life with more regard than their professional life and these people would find the love contract a barrier or intrusion into their life thereby forcing them to dump the organization and look for other alternatives. This type of contract can also lead to possible alienation and lack of co-ordination among employees of different sexes as they would always have the consequence of coming close in their mind whereby making them unfreindly or cold at workplace. On the other hand it can have certain advantages for the employees as it would surely spur them on to achieve that extra which would make not only their organization happy but also keep them happy personally. They would also try to curtail their private feelings in the office which was seen between pritam singh and jagruti when it was mentioned that both of them exchanged SMS's and gifts as they started growing closer to each other.

On the whole i believe that whatever was offered to pritam singh and jagruti was not bad if their performance had dipped due to the relationship. An organization should always achieve from its employees what is expected of them and if it is not achieved then corrective or immediate measures must be taken.This does not advocate the strangulation of any private relationship in office but in office or any other workplace professional commitment should be higher ranked than private commitment. This means that the love contract should not be introduced as soon as the relationship has started but should only be enforced if the relationship has started to take its toll on the work of both the parties in the organization. The other thing which also should be taken care while evaluating the work of the people in the love contact is the significance of ''other'' factors in the working of both the people. Many a times any dismal or poor performance may be directly attributed to the relationship factor rather at looking at other external factors. Thus proper evaluation of love contract is extremly essential. In short it could be said that people signing or going for the Love contract should get the urge from within to do well or work efficiently rather than getting a feeling of being HandCUFFED in LOVE Contract.
