Signing of a love contract gives the company a chance to actually influence a persons personal life. Privacy is the main problem here because nobody can actually measure the limit of an individuals privacy. An employees private life remains private as long as it doesnt affect his or her work. With more and more people spending their time in the office , its imperative that office romantic liasons may crop up. It is not wrong to meet your future life partner but it is never certain that he or she may be the one. So signing of a love contract actually could jeopardise the future of the employees.
One of my colleagues a software enginner fell in love with the team lead in the same project.Thankfully, our company did not have such contracts, in fact there were many examples where people working in the same project have actually entered into relationships and ultimately married. Their relationship did not culminate into marriage but they went their seperate ways. The situation could have been very sticky in case the company had a policy of love contract and if they had been forced to sign it.Most of the people it has been seen have actually left the organisation on their own as it is a common belief that its always better for spouses to be in different companies in order to prevent the negative effect of any deteriorating personal relationship on the performance of the individuals.signing of a contract actually makes a legal aknowlegdement of a relationship. There is no guarantee that the relationship may last so this may creat eprolem for the individual later on because a jilted lover may use it to blackmail someone.
Love contracts should not be signed but the company should develop a work culture wherein people are made to realise the importance of keeping professional and private life seperate. In fact in my office, such relationships actually did not create much problems.
